Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Birthday Blog Hop weekend! Stampin' Addicts.com is a free website dedicated to supporting Stampin' Up! stampers and demonstrators alike. If you have not been to Stampin' Addicts, you should check them out as soon as you finish the Birthday Blog Hop! And be sure to give me, Pepesmom, a shout out while you're there! I also happen to know there will be a STAMP JAM this weekend at Stampin' Addicts with birthday themed challenges, stampin', scrappin', and lots of inspiration. Come join in on the fun!
You may have arrived on my blog from Barbara Welch's blog, the Creative Stampin' Spot. Doesn't she always have fantastic projects? I hope you enjoy this hop where I am featuring birthday gift ideas with Stampin' Up!'s new Simply Adorned charms for necklaces, bracelets or other ornamentation. The Simply Adorned Collection of charms and chains can showcase small pieces of your artwork that you wish to have with you outside your studio or give as a gift. You can also create your own charms from cards or other artwork if you no longer wish to keep a large item, but want to keep a memento.
My projects are designed to be a coordinating set from the card to the packaging to the charm insert itself! I created this little tote using beverage coasters - just one of the many 3D challenges at Stampin' Addicts. It's the perfect size to hold the gift box in which the Simply Adorned charms and chains are sent from Stampin' Up! While the little brown box will arrive plain, it is a perfect canvas for decorating to match the gift tote and charm insert!
You may be at a loss as to what to do with that beautifully decorated box. In this day and age of repurposing, that little box is too nice to just toss. It occurred to me what better way to keep my collection of charm inserts than in this lovely little beauty. Shown below are all my charm inserts I received in a swap not too long ago. It's such a joy to be able to choose whichever charm suits my mood and outfit for the day. And if you read my Simply Adorned Made Easy - Part 1 post, you will know a penny or dime is indispensible for opening the charms. You can store that coin along with your charm inserts in the same box.
Simply add a coordinating card and you have a complete ensemble ready for gift giving! Be sure to ask your Stampin' Up! demonstrator for more information about the Simply Adorned charms and accessories. And be sure to return here to Stamps and Whiskers next week for a ribbon tying tutorial and more Stampin' Addicts birthday projects.
The next stop on the Stampin' Addicts Birthday Blog Hop is Yapha Mason's blog, Rubber Stamping and Card Making with Yapha.

Trina, these are so cute! I want to be your friend (who gets this box!). :) My favorite is the blue one with the red poppy flowers, though the orange flower one is a close second!

This gift set is just too adorable (and I'm not just sayin' that because I can see my swap insert peeking out from under all the pretties in the gift box/custom insert storage unit ;) ).
